Titanium Grade 11 is highly resistant to corrosion has similar physical and mechanical properties to Titanium CP Grade 1. The main difference is the presence of palladium in grade 11. Palladium helps to enhance the alloy’s corrosion resistance in crevices and reducing acid chloride environments. This alloy has excellent ductility, high-impact toughness and useful strength.

Forming

Grade 11 Ti-0.15Pd alloy has good formability.

Welding

Weldability of grade 11 Ti-0.15Pd alloy is rated as excellent.

Annealing

Annealing of this material can be performed by heating to 704°C (1300°F) for 2 h and then air cooled. In case stress relieving is required, the material has to be heated to 482-538°C (900-1000°F) for 45 min.

Forging

Rough forging can be performed at 871°C (1600°F) and completed at 788-843°C (1450-1550°F).

Grade 11 Ti-0.15Pd alloy is chiefly used in the chemical and marine industries and in airframe construction sectors.
