AMS 5542 - 1300°F/20hr, AC (Constant-temperature precipitation treatment). AMS 5542 has high strength up to 1300°F
AMS 5598 - 1350°F/8hr, FC to 1150°F, hold at 1150°F for total precipitation-treating time of 18hr, AC (furnace-cool precipitation treatment. AMS 5598 has high strength up to 1300°F (Increased tensile properties to about 1100°F).
With heat treatment 1400°F/1hr, FC to 1150°F hold at 1150°F for total time of 6hr, AC (short furnace-cool precipitation treatment).
Applications
Aircraft Structures
In aircraft structures, Inconel X750 is used to make components such as high-temperature springs, bolts, and pressure vessels. The alloy’s ability to maintain its properties even at high temperatures ensures that these components are able to withstand the extreme temperatures and loads encountered during flight.
Gas Turbines
Excellent relaxation resistance also makes it useful for use in gas turbine components. Inconel X750 Sheet high strength and durability make it ideal for use in blades and discs, which are subjected to high stress levels during operation.
Rocket Engines
Also used in rocket engines, where its high-temperature resistance, excellent strength, and relaxation resistance make it ideal for use in high-stress components such as combustion chambers and nozzles.
Oil & Gas
Used in pressure vessels and other components in the oil and gas industry due to its corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength.
Energy
Inconel X750 Sheet is used in nuclear reactors, power plants, and other energy-related applications due to its high-temperature resistance and excellent creep rupture properties.
