ASTM B122 UNS C70600 Applications

Copper-nickel alloys have excellent resistance to biofouling and marine corrosion, and possess good fabricability. Copper gains more strength and corrosion resistance when nickel is added to it.
UNS C70600 copper nickel alloy is primarily used for seawater service as forged and machined valve and pump components, fittings,hardware,condensers, condenser plates, distiller tubing, evaporator and heat exchanger tubing, ferrules, salt water piping.This alloy is also used in applications requiring high corrosion resistance and where chloride stress-corrosion cracking precaution prevents usage of stainless steels.
