AMS 4544 specification covers a corrosion-resistant nickel-copper alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate. Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and chemical environments. It is resistant to most salts, seawater, steam, organic substances, and acids such as deaerated hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid. It also resists corrosion under atmospheric conditions at both normal and elevated temperatures.
