    Order Overview

    On April 3, 2026, the Lork Group successfully completed the delivery of the first batch of 18NiC300 maraging steel rod samples to a client in France. This batch of products successfully passed rigorous quality inspections and is expected to arrive at the client's warehouse in France via air freight within three days. The client currently intends to use these samples to manufacture test components.

    From the moment—on March 28, 2026 (during non-business hours)—the Operations Department received the client's initial inquiry and immediately forwarded it to the dedicated account manager, through the two subsequent business days of March 30 and 31, Account Manager Mr. Harry Liang efficiently drove the process forward. His diligent follow-up—including contacting the client, confirming requirements, verifying inventory, and conducting negotiations—culminated in the client sending payment details to the Lork Group on the morning of April 1.

    Efficient Delivery: From Order to Shipment in Just 2 Days

    The 18NiC300 maraging steel bars shipped for export in this consignment were manufactured in strict compliance with the ASTM B435 standard. This material is distinguished by a strengthening mechanism that does not rely on carbon; instead, it achieves precipitation hardening through a carbon-free or ultra-low-carbon Fe-Ni martensitic matrix, augmented by the precipitation of intermetallic compounds (such as Ni₃Mo, Ni₃Ti, etc.) during the aging process. Following solution treatment, the material exhibits a hardness of approximately 28–32 HRC and possesses excellent machinability. It is widely utilized in mechanical manufacturing for high-performance gears, bearings, fasteners, torsion bar springs, and flexible components, as well as for aluminum alloy die-casting molds, plastic mold cores, ejector pins, and extrusion dies.

Through highly efficient cross-departmental collaboration—encompassing every stage from stock verification and machining to final quality inspection and export customs clearance—the entire supply and shipment process was successfully completed in just five working days.     Quality Inspection Details

    Prior to shipment, Lork Group’s Quality Control team conducts a routine yet rigorous multi-stage inspection process on our 18NiC300 maraging steel bars. This comprehensive process encompasses chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, dimensional accuracy verification, and surface quality assessment, ensuring that the products fully comply with the ASTM A538 standard as well as specific client technical specifications. Concurrently, the team generates corresponding photographic and video records, and compiles detailed reports for archival and reference purposes. All retained samples are assigned a unique identification number and duly archived to facilitate future traceability.     Our quality inspection process is safeguarded by a dual-stage system comprising both initial and secondary inspections. The preliminary inspection for every shipment encompasses five fundamental checks: specifications, quantity, tolerances, surface quality, and packaging. For example:


    Dimensional Tolerances: We used a micrometer to measure the thickness and width of the 18NiC300 maraging steel bars at multiple points. Simultaneously, we carefully inspected the edges to ensure they were free of burrs. In cases where slight burrs were present, we lightly sanded the cut surfaces.

    Surface Quality: 18NiC300 maraging steel bars is susceptible to scratches, dents, and oil stains. Upon unpacking, the leading and trailing ends of the bar are subjected to a thorough inspection.

    The second round of re-inspection comprises 3 to 6 specific data tests—such as chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, hardness testing, and specialized examinations. Adhering to the principle of "grounding operations in standard protocols and relying on the proper use and sterilization of testing instrumentation," multiple rounds of random sampling and data cross-verification are conducted to ensure the "correctness" of the material.


    Chemical Composition Report: Spectroscopic Analysis Report. The key parameters monitored include: Nickel (Ni) content 18.00–19.00%; Chromium (Cr) content 0.50–0.80%; Molybdenum (Mo) content 4.60–5.20%; Cobalt (Co) content 8.50–9.50%; Iron (Fe) content 17.0–20.0%; as well as other trace elements.


    Note: The cobalt content is a defining characteristic of this specific material grade, distinguishing it from low-cobalt or cobalt-free alternative grades. Cobalt significantly enhances the aging response rate and peak strength. As indicated by the spectrometer analysis data shown in the image above, the cobalt content meets the required specifications!
